How It Began
I grew up on the East coast so I was never all that far from the water. The beaches were my safe haven and I always felt a connection to the sea foam and the waves as they crashed to the sand. As I grew older my love of the water only intensified. I spent 4 years in Colorado, but the water continued to call me so we recently moved to South Florida. Living by the beach has restored my soul.
My first travel experiences were to the beaches of South Carolina as a young seawee, and I would revel in the warmth of the sun, the sand on my skin, and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. As I grew, so did my love of new experiences and travelling. I attended University of Delaware not far from mom and dad, but the world was calling my name. So, I decided to spent my time helping to create a non-profit for Haitians after the earthquake of 2010. I studied abroad in Italy in 2011 and 2013, to learn more about my heritage. After graduation I lasted a year and a half before I made my way back to the hills of Tuscany once more. I lived there for 5 months continuing to learn the language, becoming a part of the culture, and making lifelong connections and friends.
Travel
Through all of this, I decided the best way to continue to travel I became a travel agent with World Travel Specialists. To date I’ve been to 7 countries and I won’t be stopping there. My passion is to travel the world and bring opportunity to other wanderlusters and make their dreams a reality. The best way for me to do that is to share my love of travel and experiences with you and inspire you to take the leap of faith you’ve always wanted to take. On these pages you’ll find my heart, a never-ending hunger for the new cultures, new cuisine and libations and new experiences that you can encounter with travel. All the while doing it with my mermaid hair and the grace of the sea.
The Simple Stuff
I currently live in Lake Worth, FL with my boyfriend John of eight years and our two kitties Lucca and Remus. My favorite flavor of ice cream is Moose Tracks with Cookie dough, la mia cucina preferita di preparare e mangiare e italiana, and my favorite genres of fiction are crime, suspense, mystery, historical fiction and romance. Not in that order of course, and sometimes they’re mix matched but they’re my favs. I’m always on the look out for a new read, so feel free to reach out and suggest some authors or titles for me!
