Hey Disney friends! We all love to visit the most magical place in the world and one of the first things we do is google search, Disney tips, and tricks. After my visit in October, I have a few that I learned along the way and I’d like to share them with you! Below is my first round of Disney tips and tricks. As I revisit Walt Disney World I’m sure I’ll have more tips for you all in the future! Let’s get it started.
Bring Water
They don’t prevent you from bringing water into the parks. It’s important to stay hydrated, especially in Florida, so make sure that you have enough water to get you through at least the morning. There are other ways to get water without paying an arm and a leg. If you ask for a cup of water at the food stations, you can refill your water bottle with that. The refill stations taste gross to a lot of people, and if you’re still concerned with COVID then getting it from the food stations might be a great idea.
Sunscreen!
The Florida sun in no joke. When it’s out in full force you’ll want to make sure that your skin is taken care of. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and maybe even a hat. It will not be fun at the end of the day walking around with sunburn so make sure to be taking the necessary precautions.

Ways to Deal with Discomfort
At Disney, there’s a TON of walking. There are no two ways around that. Sometimes walking around all day long can cause some discomfort in the way of blisters. Bring some things that can help with that like band-aids, or blister covers. There are other ways that you can become uncomfortable walking around as well like chaffing. Ways to combat that are to bring deodorant, or a chaffing stick to help with the rubbing.
Rider Switch
Not going for an adults-only Disney experience? If you’re bringing your kids and someone is either too little or not wanting to go on a ride there’s a way to get you on that ride. Use Rider Switch so you can jump right on the ride after everyone else gets off. You won’t have to wait in line again and some of your friends can come back on with you. Check out Rider Switch here for more info.
Baby Care Stations
Bringing a little? If you forget enough diapers or just need a quiet place to breastfeed, there are baby care stations throughout the parks. They carry formula, diapers, wipes and have an area for some of the older ones to hang while parents take care of the littlest Disney kids. It’s also a great way to get out of the Florida heat for a few minutes so If you need to change a diaper, search out one of the baby care stations. It’s better than the bathroom and with AC.
Bring Your Own Food and Snacks
If you’re looking to save some money at Walt Disney World, one good way is to bring your own snacks and lunch. They do NOT allow coolers in, so keep that in mind. You can bring in sandwiches, chips, and any snacks the kiddos or you want to have throughout the day. Disney trips are long but incredibly fun days. You want to make sure that you have the energy through the day to take on those rides and experiences.
This is what I got so far, but not to worry. There’s more coming soon! If you liked these stay tuned because there are more tips on where that came from. If I tickled your travel bone, and are ready to head to Disney yourself, check out the I Need A Travel Agent page, and let’s get to talking about it!
I haven’t been to Disney before, but it sounds so accommodating! I love that they carry diapers and wipes for the babies. That is so convenient and really helps with the amount of things you have to lug around!
It definitely does. It’s more for emergency if you need it, but it’s there. Depending on where you are in the park sometimes it’s out of the way to get to it so I suggest at least making sure you know where they are before you head in!
Very useful tips, will certainly help once I finally get a chance to visit Disneyland. Thank you for putting this together 🙂
Of course! Let me know if I can help you when you’re ready to start planning!
When we visited Disney World with our little people years ago, it helped to have a stroller and to load it up with our lunch, water bottles, and snacks for kids. Make sure to mark your stroller with your name tag and make it easily identifiable in a crowd of other strollers.
Absolutely! Great tip for people with kids. Especially marking it with your info. There are so many other strollers around, you don’t want to lose yours.
Looks like you had a blast! I love Disney and now I really want to go back 🙂
I really did! When did you go last?
Great list of tips – so nice that they let you bring water in! Especially in that Florida heat.
Thank you! A definite plus for sure. It’s no joke. The humidity hits you pretty hard too so you have to stay hydrated.
